Oh, the food shot! You know that show called something like "The Best Food I Ever Ate"??? Well, THAT was it for me! These were profiteroles at Cafe des Flores... even the waiter's eyes bugged out of his head when he delivered these to me, along with everyone else around me! It was as if they simply melted a dark chocolate bar over the top... omg!!!! It seemed really expensive for a desert, but who cares, and yes, I hate the whole thing by myself. In like 45 seconds. :)

Margo -- yes, there were actually many shots of cafe tables with drinks on them! Get a couple of 1664 beers in me and I start playing with my camera! This was at that beautiful little cafe in Montmartre, called Chez Plumeau, right off the Place du Tertre. We spent hours here. They have a vine-covered trellis overhead, and sunflowers on all the tables... I loved how colorful the tables ended up being, once we ordered kir, among other things!

Um, of course that should have read "I ATE the whole thing by myself." Later was when the hate came into play (i.e. hating my tight pants). ;)

Superbe!! If that's what a few beers would get me, I'd drink plenty and frequently; unfortunately, for me they would have the opposite artistic effect probably :)

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful photos. Please, please tell me where you took pic no. 9, the terrific mosaic with the woman's face. Never seen that before, and I've seen A Lot of Paris photos!

About the profiteroles - I read on some food blog just today that they are so last year. Even before I saw this picture I knew that could not be right. This picture so proves that blog to be wrong, wrong, wrong. Beautiful photos.
