Sleeper from Paris to Rome

Hi all - I am beginning to plan a trip to Rome next March from the UK - this year we travelled by train to Avignon, and I'm keen to try travelling to Rome by train also. I would love to try the Thello sleeper service, but I can only see services which mean changing at Milan very early in the morning. Does anyone know whether there is likely to be a direct service in the near future? Many thanks!

According to www.seat61.com, it might start in December this year.

Thanks - I thought that was the case, then I saw other stuff about something starting in July, but it still seemed to involve changing at Milan. Fingers crossed then!

It was first announced as July, but then delayed until December.
