Budget?

RDF Apr 7th, 2003 06:15 AM

Re. Budget:
I would prefer to spend under $170/nite for a double. I know that Kinloch Lodge, Cuillin hills hotel and Three Chimnies are that or higher. However, We have found that sometimes 'you don't get what you pay for', and people have had some great rooms, views, etc. at lesser cost. Any opinions about those above or lesser known inns would be appreciated.
Thanks

Two suggestions- The Eilean Iarmain (Isle Oransay) with a view over the Sound of Sleat should be OK but you might have to haggle. The Sligachan if you get a room with a view of the Cuillins.

Oh, and the Rosedale with a harbour view
