Sky diving in Barcelona
Hi,
We are a couple visiting Spain in August and will be in Barcelona for 3 days between 20th to 22nd. We are keen on doing a sky dive when we are there. It's a first time for both of us and would like to know if any Fodorites had done it in Barcelona (or Madrid) and any references to good companies who provide Tandem diving options? Am searching online as well, but a personal experience would carry far more weight than a glitzy website for me. Regards |
Hi, anyone out there with some advice?
P.S: Not sure if bumping a thread by the OP is ok as per the forum's policies. Apologies, if not. |
You may not get a response because people don't ordinarily go to Barcelona to sky dive.

It's fine to do this. I've never seen a mention of sky diving on this board but that's not to say that no one has done it. Better to check sky diving boards. |
I know that answer later, but one of the world's major centers skydive is in Empuriabrava, two hours from Barcelona.

Well -
One couldn't sky dive into the middle of the city - it would have to be out in the distant countryside somewhere. I recall a thread where someone was asking about skydiving - I think Spain - but it required a car to get to the airfield. Or a train to a bus to a taxi. |
The only one offering skydiving in the region is Skydive Empuriabrava (www.skydiveempuriabrava.com).
Enjoy! |
I know I am coming back after 3 years but wanted to give recco for Skydive Empuriabrava. It was an awesome dive and the drop zone and the little town are both worth it.

Sure it's OK to bump up your own post. Even better when it's to let us know how things worked out!

Good to know should anyone else want to jump out of a plane.

They do have elevators in Sagrada Familia.
