You'll find some sites at http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/SMilne6/tour.htm#Accommodation

We use English Country Cottages and have been pleased with them.
Their URL is http://www.english-country-cottages.co.uk/
In spite of their name they also cover Scotland and Wales.

There are many good agencies - www.uniquescotland.com/ is one of the best, listing properties all over Scotland.

But most self-catering properties in Scotland are individually owned/managed and many do not show up on general sites where they must pay to be linked. Doing a web search will find a lot of these.

Hi Anne,
I used an agency based on Skye called Islands and Highlands Cottages. They specialise obviously in the Highlands. Their site is www.islands-and-highlands.co.uk and they also put out a very attractive brochure. Have fun
We've used Mackay's Agency in Edinburgh several times and have never been disappointed. www.mackays-scotland.co.uk. Great catalogue with color pictures arrives very promptly and you can do your business over the internet.
