SITA Bus Schedule from Massa Lubrense to Sorrento

From the website www.amalficoastweb.com, I was able to print SITA bus schedules for Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. I am particularly interested in Sorrento-Massa Lubrense-Sorrento.

There's a full SITA bus schedule for Sorrento going to Massa Lubrense, but not returning from Massa Lubrense to Sorrento. Should I be looking for this information on a different web site?

Thanks for any help.

Hi again, Citizeness!

Presumably this will be for your mid/late April visit?

If so, I'd suggest hanging on until SITA's Spring timetables appear - at the start of that month usually, and particularly likely to be the case this year, with Easter when it is?

Personally, I steer clear of most third-party sites.... they're rarely kept completely current, especially during the off-season months - and, obviously, have no crystal balls!

..............................................

Following the recent division of the SITA group into 'BusItalia Nord' and 'SITA Sud', the better place to look for timetables is probably going to be their new webpage, here....

http://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/

So this - schedule 5071 - is the one formerly labelled as QXIV...

http://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/publi...pania/5071.pdf

... whilst this - 5070 - has the old Amalfi/Sorrento part of QXV

http://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/publi...pania/5070.pdf

If only they'd also use those numbers on the front of the buses, how easy everything would be!

..............................................

Although not a reliable guide, from previous ones I've collected:

Spring 2009 version of QXIV - the service from S.Agata:

- a daily bus from Massa at 21:45 (said to be Sundays-only on the current winter schedule)

- plus, an additional later one, on weekdays only (Mon to Sat) at 22:35 (which, from mid-June and for all the peak season, also seems to run on Sundays).

Sp 2010 and Sp 2009 of QXIV and QXV - on the route from Amalfi:

- last bus from Massa at 20:35 daily as per winter (with, in peak season ONLY, another - also at 22:35).

You should have plenty of time to find the revised schedules before you arrive, and the new company may well be planning other changes?

Peter, You are so helpful. The taxi cab fares (to-and-from) Sorrento to Massa Lubrense are expensive. I've asked my husband and our friends (2) how they felt about taking a bus -and everyone's for it.

I've not seen any rates recently but, on the old Sorrento ones, getting back might well cost €25 or so?

Peter, do you know if that cost is one-way or round-trip?

That's for one way - and based on Sorrento's old rates, which it appears still apply....
