Single Travel Groups
 

Is any one familiar with any single travel groups? I have looked at the website for O Solo Singles Travel and it appears they have alot of options. But I don't know anything about them. Or, is there other groups out there that are GREAT!!!

disclaimer(!) I know absolutely nothing about these organization and haven't even looked at the websites, but copied the list from my local newspaper + a travel magazine where they gave them as resources for single travelers:

I just went on a smart tour to Croatia. I had originally planned to just take a private trip with friends and family, but everyone of them backed out! I was going to just stay home but decided I was going one way or the other. I worried that I would be alone, no one would talk to me, etc, but found out there are always singles on those trips. There were mainly couples but they were very friendly. I am still corresponding with several of my single new friends!

Is smart travel a group?

BTW, I don't post on Fodor's much any more. I tried to post a similar question on the solo board and it hasn't appeared there yet. Is there a time delay now? This one appeared immediately in this forum.

While www.AdventureCenter.com isn't specifically a singles tour group, many trips have single room options. I found the itineraries and prices more in line with my travel style than O Solo Mio.

I originally looked into this group when researching a 2007 trip to Egypt - not a country I chose to travel in by my lonesome.

I am taking the Dalmation Coast gulet 8-day sail in June 06 - hopefully one of my friends will come with but if not I'll room with a same-sex fellow single traveler and still have a grand time!

Sally, the Solo Board has a refresh problem. If you click on your name it brings up your post.

Try Backroads at backroads.com. They offer many trips all over the world with specific trips for singles.
