single room in rome

i will be in rome from the 17 to 25 of march and i was wondering if any of you, single fodors travelers had any recommendation for a decent single hotel room in the 70 euro price range that you would recommend.
i am a single man of 48 years of age and wish to visit Rome

I stayed at the Pensione Panda (http://www.pensionepanda.com) close to the Spanish Steps in October 2001. You can get a single room with bath for 57 euros in the low season. I had a single room without bath with no problems whatsoever. The place was clean and quiet and reasonable close to all the major sites. On my last trip in November, I stayed in the Campo dei Fiori area. I liked that location more but unfortunately I can't recommend the b&b where I stayed.

To get an idea of hotels and prices in Rome as chosen by Fodorites, click "Hotels" above, then choose Rome. A list of hotels will come up. Ask to re-list them by price. You can also read reviews written by people who have stayed at each hotel.

You can do the same for the restaurant listings. I have found the restaurant reviews and picks in this Fodor's listing to be accurate for Rome and other cities.

Lonely Planet also has a website and a book, they are especially good on low-cost travel.
