Train from where? Siena - Empoli - Florence? |
Rome2rio said it was Cavriglia.
Jeez. The post said Florence, so Florence. |
take the train to Montevarchi-Terranu and a taxi from there.>
www.bahn.de/en says it's a short 40-minute train trip from Florence SMN - main station and a bit shorter from Florence Campo di Marte (which could be closer to your hotel or not) - a main secondary station - regional trains so just buy ticket once at the station - good for any regional train that day (I think) and just a few euros. No reserved seats possible. Hourly or more frequent trains. |
Palenq says, "But, you can take a train from Florence into Tuscany!"
That's like saying you can take a train from Trenton into New Jersey. |

Exactly! Capiche? |
>>>Agriturismo La Forra is in Cavrigli, not Chianti. <<<
It's actually outside the town of Montegonzi (comune of Cavriglia, Province of Arezzo). AGRITURISMO LA FORRA 52020 MONTEGONZI CAVRIGLIA (AR) - ITALY http://www.comune.cavriglia.ar.it/the-villages PQ - You can't assume there will be taxis at small stations as often there aren't. The OP might be able to arrange a driver (perhaps from the villa) to meet her at Montevarchi train station or at the bus when it arrives in Montegonzi. |
And here is the weather forecast for the part of Chianti that's in the privince of Arezzo
http://meteo.repubblica.it/meteo/ita...ti/TOS/AR/oggi Montevarchi is the location of an enormous shopping outlet/mall. I would expect to find plenty of taxis in Montevarchi, but OP should check with the agriturismo or whomever is arranging the work sessions about best way to get there. |
