Simply Amsterdam Apt Rentals

I'm wondering if anyone has rented an apartment through this service - www.simplyamsterdam.nl - Simply Amsterdam? I'm thinking of using them to rent an apartment in Amsterdam, but I'm hoping there's someone out there who has worked with them who tell me whether they had a good experience with this service. Thanks!

This is far from a definitive answer, but several years ago when we were planning a trip to Crete, our friends from UK who were organizing it considered both Simply Crete and Pure Crete. We ended up with PC, but I know that they felt that the Simply organization had a good reputation, also. This is so vague I should probably delete it, but at least it will bring the post to the top! :-)

Kathy,

I just checked their site. They look fine, but I always use City Mundo, whose prices seem a little better to me. Check for yourself, but CM is a fine outfit as well.

Thank you for your replies! We're still deciding what we want to do (and finalizing our travel dates). Thanks again.

Kathy. How was your experience with simplyamsterdam and the apartment you stayed at. Any information you could post would be a great help as I am considering booking with them. Has any one else use them for rentals? I would appreciate any input.

Mike: I don't have any info yet, except that my communications with them since we reserved the apt through Simply Amsterdam have been positive. Our trip actually isn't until November. I'll post something about our experience with the apartment after we get back. If you go in the meantime, I'd be interested in hearing your experiences, also.

Thanks Kathy. I didnt realize your trip was in November. I have also had positive emails from the company and he answered all my questions very quickly and professionally. We are looking at going next year for our anniversary. I would appreciate hearing back about your experience and how the weather and city are in November. There should be a link to my email next to my name if you want to email about your trip sometime. Thanks again and have a wonderful trip.

We just returned from Amsterdam last week, and we had a fantastic trip!!

Our experience with Simply Amsterdam apartment rentals was also great - everything was exactly as we had expected, and more. When we arrived, there was someone at the apartment to give us keys, etc. He also took us around the neighborhood a bit, showed us where the grocery store was, etc. He was very nice, and very helpful.

We called them after we realized that the CD player in our apartment wasn't working, and they brought over a boom box the next day. We also called them a few times with questions, and they were very helpful. The apartment was exactly like it looked in the pictures. It was also very clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable.

All in all, we had a great experience with Simply Amsterdam (and a great time on our trip).

Kathy,
Thanks so much for posting on your experience renting an apartment with Simplyamsterdam. It certainly eases my mind and makes it a lot easier to book with them after hearing about your trip. I am glad I finally found someone who has some experience with them. It sounds like they are a very professional and helpful company. I know our trip is still 11 months away but I am still getting excited about going already. Once again thanks Kathy.
Mike
