Any advice on flying ny- paris outbound and london-ny home. all the fares I've found have been too much thank you

What time of year are you going, days have you chosen, and airlines? Traditionally, Tues-Thurs are cheaper days to fly.

Those are two very cheap and popular routes, you shouldn't have a problem getting a reasonable fare. Maybe you are expecting something too cheap, what fares are you finding? I just plugged in arbitrary dates to Travelocity which wouldn't be cheapest days probably (4/23 Fri, ret Sat 5/8) and got $513 RT for that route on BA -- EWR-LHR-CDG and nonstop return LHR-JFK. That seems reasonable to me. Complete nonstops both ways on AA was $662.

Airfares seem to have gone up in the last couple years in late Spring and aren't as cheap as they used to be (they are higher than Feb-March, for example, but not as bad as peak summer).
