Simple ATM Question
Don't freak out...this is a simple ATM question.
Do the ATM's in Italy and France offer an English screen as well as their native language? I haven't seen this addressed in the latest ATM discussions and am leaving in SIX DAYS! (Oops, did I just shout that???? *LOL*) |
Yes

Si.
Oui. |
When you insert your card, a question will appear on screen in typically 4 languages (English, French, German and Italian) asking you to select the language you want. Sometimes represented by the flags of the relevant languages - in most cases the British Union Flag rather than the Stars and Stripes. That's the one you want.
|
Yes - just like in the US the first screen is a list of languages - I have not noticed flags - since ours is prmarily for locals - just touch the correct one.
|
Do remember the number you pick for how much cash you want means in the local currency (Swiss Franc, Euro, Pound).
|
Thank you. I knew I could count on you. And thanks Suze for the reminder. I suppose it could be easy to forgot that.
|
It's not so important for the euro, I guess. It was a lesson learned in Mexico when I took out "150"... so I'd wasted an ATM fee to get out 15 bucks worth!
