My husband is such a wonderful guy I don't like calling him "dh" he deserves the full typed word. (sounds "twee" to me too) Besides my husband would much prefer, "hubby" or "hubster" "the husband" "hubba bubba boy" might make him smile. I'll ask.

Goodnight.

Leslie, I am glad to hear we're not such an malicious bunch as sometimes perceived.

I wish we could hear you on the flute!

Sooner or later DH will be dead husband.

I like when people just use the initials of an airport in lieu of the full name of the city, as if they are going to spend their entire vacation at the baggage claim.

If you think the Irish Whistlers Board is mean, you should try the Yemeni Qanbus Board. You would think they are harboring Al Qaeda there or something.

<< What still is a mystery to me, is why people are referring to DH and not just to their husband >>

1. They think it's chic
2. Fewer letters to type (for lazy responders)

Sheer laziness on my part; no-one [outside fodorland] who knows me would think that it was an attempt to appear chic!

I'm so glad you asked this "silly" question! I'm a techno-peasant---no texing, no tweeting, barely understand Facebook. Been struggling for the couple of months I've been on the Forum. In most cases I decided it didn't matter. Hey---am I right in interpreting IMOP means "in my honest opinion"? I started a thread on the Lounge ---"Skills need to participate . . ." Didn't get a lot of instruction there.

If people in the Lounge had any skills, they wouldn't be in the Lounge.

No, that would be IMHO. But I know you were just Humbly (or Honestly) teasing us... ;)

No, I think that is where you can get scrub brushes instead of pancakes.
