Last year my husband and I drove from Montpellier through Nimes to Pont du Gard. . . Between Montpellier and Nimes, at the recommendation of some Fodor's posters, we stopped in Sommieres and just LOVED it. Maybe it was the contrast with the bustle of Montpellier, but we had a wonderful time in this beautiful little village. The route tooks us on a pastoral drive to a Roman bridge (circa 19 A.D., although refurbished in 1725) that you cross to reach the town. We found picturesque streets, cute shops, and a church with soaring arches, brilliant stained glass, and painted florettes. We had a picnic lunch seated on a stone wall overlooking the river.

This type of info can't be found in books .Personal experiences are the best.
Very soon I'll have to decide since I can't visit every town,village or site in Provence.I have to confess I'm a procrastinator and a very indecisive person.
