Sifnos - hospital/medical facilities?

Hi there,
Am seriously looking to move to Sifnos in the new year. Do you know if it has a hospital or medical facilities. What do the residents do in an emergency ? Do they have general G.P's of some description. Any advice much appreciated.

As Gaspard has said there is a Health Centre there but no hospital as such. I understand there are three doctors on the island.

As far as I am aware there is only one large general hospital in the Cyclades and that's on Syros. About 3 hours by car ferry from Sifnos.

In emergencies, when the local heath centre doesn't have the appropriate facilities to treat the patient, a heliopter will probably be used to take the patient to either Syros or Athens. Usually it is Athens.
