Siena to Rome

I will be driving from Siena into Rome to drop a rental car at Termini station. I have read that no cars are allowed in the city limits? WIll this be a problem for me? Can I drive directly to Termini station?

Of course you can--if you really want to. It is just the centro storico with no cars. I would drop in Orvieto and train into Rome. Or, drop in Rome at the garage in the Borghese park.

What no cars in the Centro Storico of Rome! I can't believe this. Rome will certainly be different without cars. No more taking your life in your hands to cross the Piazza Venezia.

Mimar,

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but there are still four or five lanes of cars zooming around Piazza Venezia.

The "historical center" is very narrowly defined, and even there you will find cars in the narrowest of streets.

No more cars in the Centro Storico? I was just there in January.........lots of cars.

Hi D.

Do you have to?

Could you drop the car in Orvieto and train to Rome TE?

see www.trenitalia.com

Could you drop the car in Siena and take a bus to Rome?
