Siena Restaurant Recommendation
 

Just returned from a fabulous first European trip. A highlight of our time in Tuscany were the two meals we had at a little place in Siena that I wanted to share. It was called Trattoria Torre and was a small family-run place with wonderful fresh Tuscan-style food. to get there as you face the big tower in the square in Siena, go to first alley to the left of the tower and it's down about 10 yards on left. Enjoy! (I think our meal with three courses, dessert, and wine was about $20E each) The freshly-made pasta drying on the counter in front of the kitchen gave us a clue we were in for a treat.

Ducko - We ate there as well last March and absolutely loved it!! My husband had the Osso Bucco which he said was the best he ever had. The fresh pasta was excellent and the lemon sorbet served in a spooned out lemon was to die for.

I ate there twice on my recent trip, as well. Loved it when the owner sat himself down at my table to keep me company while I was dining. Our conversation was rather limited, though ... Good ribollita (sp?). Actually, good everything.

Husband, daughter and I also had a wonderful dinner there in mid-April. Excellent food, great entertainment (people and the open kitchen) and at such a reasonable price. My ravioli with the sage and butter sauce was the best.

I also had the spinach ravioli with sage and butter sauce. Heavenly!

Great...this restaurant was already on my list for dining in Siena.
