Siena luggage storage

Dropping off the rental car in Siena and was planning to explore before taking train to Rome. Is there anywhere to store luggage in Siena?

The Siena train station isn't all that big and I'm wracking my brain to remember the luggage situation. There may be lockers there. Hopefully, others will have a better recall than I do.

Possibility???? park the car with the luggage locked in the trunk first, explore second, turn in the car third, take the train last?????

I don't think any stations in Italy have lockers nowadays for security reasons, and small stations don't usually have a manned left luggage office.

But there is nearly always a solution - just ask. Best place to start is usually the station bar. Offer a good tip and they're usually happy to oblige.

In this case I don't think there was even a bar at that place (good idea, though) but I may be wrong. I hope this all works out for the original poster.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Just found out that the train from Siena to Rome is not direct so will probably drop car at Florence instead.
Thanks again, Lisa S
