Siena-Florence by bus on a Sunday....not possible?
I wanted to take a day trip from Siena to Florence on a Sunday (June) and can't seem to find any buses leaving Siena in the morning. According to these two sites there isn't a bus until the afternoon. Does anyone know if you can take a bus early Sunday?

I use google maps for directions and transportation options. They are showing a 9:10 bus on Sundays

There are multiple buses from Siena to Florence on Sunday. You have the choice of the slower bus that stops at Poggibonsi or the rapid bus. On the bus schedules, the slower bus is designated as 1310A (pages 59 & 60) and the rapid bus is 131R/A (pages 63 & 64). The + above times designates the Sunday buses. Return buses are pages 61/62 and 66/67.
Your other option is the train. Cost is about the same. You will have to take a local bus from the center of Siena to the train station. You catch the bus at Piazza Gramsci (same place you would catch the Sita bus to Florence) to the train station. Multiple bus numbers will get you to the station about 10-15 minutes away(I seem to recall 7 & 10 as a couple of the faster ones, but you need to check that).

The schedules for the Sita bus were linked earlier in the thread, but here they are again so you can look for the correct pages.

If you take the train (there are a couple of departure around 8 that don't require any train changes), make sure of the last train back so you don't miss it. Trains or buses won't run much past 8 or 9, even in high season.
