Siena curfew?

I'm concerned that the B&B I was thinking about in Siena (Albergo Bernini, 77E) has a midnight curfew. At home I'm not a real late-night kind of guy but when I was in Spain it was easy to stay out at cafes until 1 am (and I was usually the one going home first!).

How late are restaurants & cafes open in Siena (weekdays & weekends) and will this really be a non-issue? Does it become a ghost town after 11:30 or are there still a lot of people out? Other places I'm considering in Siena are the Piccolo Etruia Duomo (73E) or the Duomo (104E) which don't have curfews.

If you're concerned about a curfew, why not just stay at one of the other hotels that don't have one? Same price, but none of the worry for your holiday.

I didn't find a lot to do in the late evening in Siena and I usually got up very early in the morning anyway, so a midnight curfew is probably not a big deal. That said, I still don't think I'd limit myself if I could avoid it. It's your vacation, after all.

Absolutely wrong, lot of night life in Siena! Its a University town plenty of night clubs, bars and pubs, night life starts around 11.30pm

We stayed at Albergo Bernini and the curfew wasn't a big deal. Siena is a great town at night, but it's not Madrid in terms of people staying out until all hours. Let me know if you have other questions.

We had an 11:30 p.m. curfew where we stayed and found it adequate. In Italy they eat and little earlier for lunch and dinner so you may not find yourself out as late. M.

Ditto. We stayed at a convent in Siena that had an 11:30 curfew, and never found it a problem. Ate dinner around 7 or 8 PM and after a short relaxing walk around the city, we were quite ready for bed before 11 PM.
