Siena area family accomodation

We have made the decision to stay in the Siena area[ just outside the city] for a 3 day stay. I would appreciate any accomodation recommendations for our family of 4? It would be nice to have a pool and breakfast and price is not a major factor. Thankyou Jim

If you do a Fodor's search, this subject came up not all that long ago. I would try a search along the lines of "Siena pool villa" (or agriturismo or hotel". People had some good recommendations.

We're staying outside of Siena in October at the Borgo Grondaie. We are renting their 2-bedroom apartment for 4 nights, and are looking forward to the stay. I know they have a pool. Here's the link to Trip Advisor: They have excellent reviews.

Investigate the Palazzo Ravizza, It gets a good recomendation from Fodor's and Frommers.

Sue, I looked at the types of accomodation and wondered what 2 adults and 2 teenagers would need [2+2 or 4 people]? Did you you look at getting 2 doulble rooms there? Thanks Jim

Hi Jim-- We are 2 couples travelling together and we opted for the apartment because we'd have a kitchen (we wanted to do some of our own cooking after visiting local markets...we're big "foodies."). We don't get breakfast w/the apartment. For your needs, 2 double rooms in the hotel proper will probably be your best bet. You'd get breakfast, too.
