Siena accomodation suggestions HELP!!!

We will be in Siena for 1 night June 28th and have tried the various listings for accomodation in the various tourist books etc. to no avail. Any suggestions of places to stay from those who have been there. <BR>Maureen

Maureen: we very much enjoyed the Palazzo Ravizza inside walls of Sienna; have lent out my guidebook, so cannot give phone#; try search on this forum for same, as I know #s been given recently (be me for sure). The rate was 80 USD/ night in '98; nice room w/ private bath. Ask for room overlooking back of hotel on an upper floor for glorious view of Tuscan countryside!! They have a nice dining room, too, as well as nice outdoor/garden area. Good luck. Sally

We stayed at the Pensione Ravizza for a night - very nice hotel. Our room was beautiful and our rate included dinner at the hotel restaurant which was excellent. We had a lovely garden view out our window and a fireplace. The phone number was 011/39/577/280462. Fax 011/39/577/221597. <BR>Audrey

I was there in November and stayed at the Hotel Duoumo ([email protected]). It was a great location.

Maureen, Have you tried Hotel Moderno? Last year I couldn't find anyplace within the walls but this hotel is just outside, weird thing is you take an escalator to get within the walls and it kind of ruins the atmosphere. It was an okay place and certainly fine for one night.

Venere.com is useful. Also try the Sienna web site and try the links.

Hi! <BR>http://www.tuscany.net/piccolasiena/index.html <BR> <BR>http://www.tuscany.net/hotelanticopozzo/index.html <BR> <BR>I really liked these two places when I stayed in Tuscany. The second one is in San Gimignano but it is pretty close to Siena. <BR> <BR>Have a great trip. <BR>Buon Viaggio <BR>joan

Spam alert - someone at Tuscany.net has got themselves a new alias and is 'helpfully' replying to lots of posts - charmingflorence.com and charmingtuscany.com are all the same company. This is blatant commercial advertising - they are an agency. Go away - again.
