Siena 2 weeks good or bad idea?

hi, im planing on attending a language school in Siena. Im 32 yrs old going alone. I have been to siena on day trips but I just wonder what is there to do in the evening? I'm hoping the school I will attend will have some activities but I cant count on that for 2 weeks. I've been to florence and found a lot to do in the evenings but Siena? I'm thinking about Siena because so many people have studied there and have had wonderful things to say. I would love to hear what you all think.

Siena's a beautiful and relatively large town. I doubt you'll be bored there. But if you feel the need to go beyond the borders you can easily take local buses to other towns and to Firenze, Pisa, etc., where there might be more to do. Two weeks isn't that much time, and if you're in language school your days will be fairly occupied. Chances are your fellow students and you will find plenty of ways to amuse yourselves and have a geat time.

I would love 2 weeks in Siena, but I am more than twice your age. It is a college town--surely some nitelife.

I did two weeks at a language school in Siena at the end of March this year. I cannot say I got bored. I am about 10 years older than you.

The school I attended (www.saenaiulia.it) had one "seminar" and one trip per week. I had planned to take bus trips from Siena to various parts of southern Tuscany, but found that with my studies, I tended to stay and explore the city.

There are a fair number of museums, galleries and historic sites to keep you busy, and numerous bars and cafe's. It also very much depends on how you get on with your fellow students.
