Sicily in February

Has anyone traveled to Sicily in February? Not expecting it to be warm but will be a lot warmer than Ottawa. Are the sites open at that time of year?

Welcome (?), karenkurtzrock8142. My husband and I were in Sicily in March twenty years ago. We always took rain coats with zip-in liners but we aren't wearing them in any of the pictures. We didn't take any guided tours but do check ahead...often tours started in April but it varied. Over the years, we found the season for tourism expanding. Please let everyone know what it's like!

I believe February may be the time of year that almond trees start to blossom, and the Valley of Temples in Agrigento is carpeted with white petals "like snow". Sounds magical to me! There's an almond blossom festival the first Sunday in February.
