All right, here's the story (according to www.viamichelin.com):
Palermo to Erice: 112 km; 1 hr 24 min
Erice to Segesta: 38 km; 28 min
Palermo to Segesta: 77 km; 59 min
(In other words, adding Erice adds 53 min to your travelling time, let alone the time you spend in Erice.)
Segesta to Selinunte: 68 km; 48 min
Selinunte to Agrigento: 101 km; 1 hr 31 min
(I assume you mean Segesta when you say
Salente...)
With Erice, you will be driving 4 hours and 11 minutes in one day (and people generally seem to find that the Viamichelin times are shorter than the actual driving times...), which does not give you a great deal of time to see the places that you are spending so much time driving to.
If you insist on Erice, then follow Bobthenavigator's advice and spend the night in Marinella di Selinunte.
Now, is there any other little bit of research that you would like us to do for you?

When we got back from Ragusa we found it was the only place we hadn't taken any pictures. Lower (older Ragusa) had all of its attractions being renovated. The driving was difficult and if I had it to do over again I would eliminate it completely.
Our journal is posted a little further down and entitled "Sicily Journal". We spent more time than you are planning but you can see how much ground we were covering on a daily basis.
I feel you can do Palermo in one day, just plan well what you want to see.
Erice is not a must see either.
