Shuttle train or shuttle bus from Malpensa?
Hi - we are leaving in less than a week, flying into Malpensa airport. We will be 2 adults + one 7-yr old with 3 pieces of luggage (all wheeled). Would like to know which one is easier --
1) take the shuttle bus from Malpensa to Centrale Station OR 2) take the shuttle train from Malpensa to Cadorna Station? From either station, we plan to just take a taxi to our hotel (Hotel Romana) Please advise ASAP and thanks in advance! |
without know where you hotel is i'd say the Malpensa Express to Cardona is a seemless way in - when you get off the train the taxis are waiting a few feet away
not sure about the bus to humungous Central Station and how you find taxis - but the Cardona station is small and the cabs are right there (when i took it) and Cardona is also i believe closer to the town center |
Thank you!
I didn't get to check the forum before we left (things just got crazy at home and work!)...but everything turned out ok and our trip was great! I ended up choosing the bus to Centrale for 2 reasons -- one, I read that the bus driver helps load the luggage (definitely a plus!) and two, figured there'd be a better chance of finding taxis on a Sunday in Centrale. Thanks again for your help and I hope to be able to reciprocate with other travelers in the future! |
Please tell us if the taxis at Centrale are right by the bus depot
if so then this is a seamless way as is the train to Cordona -handling baggage a plus for th bus. thanks |
Cabs are just steps away from the bus terminal outside Milan's central train station. The bus is definitaly the way to go as it costs much less than the train (7 euro v. 11.50 per person, one way).

I agree the bus to/from Malpensa is excellent way to go. Taxis are next to the bus stop, just out the side entrance.
When in Milan, don't miss the shopping next to San Lorenzo: http://www.webvisionitaly.com/catego...p;ref_item=394 |
