Shows & Entertainment
I was wondering if anyone could make any suggestions on some possible shows to see while in the following locations. Also, if anyone had any suggestions on possible night clubs, bars or other hangouts that might be worth visiting?
England May 7-11 Paris May 12-15 Rome May 18-21 A few ideas we were thinking about was to possibly see a Opera while in Rome, and we were also wondering if anyone knows if Phantom of the Opera is playing in any of the locations? Always wanted to see it. And we were also wondering what the prices for the shows/opera would be, what times they normally start and end, and what the dress codes would be for something like this? Also, if anyone could make a suggestion on some good places to eat in most of these areas it would be great. Thanks, Joe |

You may get a better response if you re-post with a more specific title, e.g. "Shows & Entertainment in Paris, Rome & ..." Where in England ? Presumably if you're staying in London you won't be interested in shows in Newcastle, and vice versa.

Phantom of the Opera is still playing in London.
You could do the ballet in Paris. Also jazz clubs are popular. |
You can go to www.charta.it for opera listings for Rome and elsewhere in Italy. I don't remember whether there was anything on in May, but if so, you would want to check right away. It may be already sold out. I ordered my ticket over a month ago for the end of Sept, and there weren't really very many seats left at that point.
The ticket was 80 Euro, and that's not the most expensive seat. |
Phantom of the Opera is playing in London. For London theater listings check:
www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk Discount tickets for many shows are available the day of the performance at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square. Today, for instance, Phantom would be available at a 25% discount. For a look at the TKTS booth availability each day, and the prices for discount tickets, check www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/tkts/today |
Thank you all for the help, and we are staying in London while in England, sorry for the confusion, made the post before work this morning.
Thanks, Joe |
