Uncle Sam, out of curiousity, do you think you'll ever return to France, or do you think you'll hold the recent events against the country forever?

How quickly they forget! The deciding factor in the War of Independence, or as Ben might call it, the Colonial War was the fact that the French were on the US side. They saved the colonials bacon!

Not to be odd here, but does anyone count the fact that France when it was a world super power was the first country to recognize us as an independant nation and trade with us? In fact, had it not been for France, the USA as we know it may not have existed at all so all of this would be moot? I don't see why it is alright for our government to follow it's own policy but when other nations do so, they are cursed. Surly freedom extends both ways.. or is that just wishful thinking. People of the world are free to think whatever they like, so long as it is in the best interests of the "never wrong in the slightest, USA"??? Hmmm sounds egotistical to me.. and for heavens sake don't bash me as not being patriotic.. I am very thankful to live in the US, my father was in the Navy Air Corp in WW2 and I was born at an AFB.
