Should she drive or take the train?

Woman in her late 50s will be traveling solo to Spain in August. Hasn't driven before in Europe and doesn't travel abroad much. Plans to stay two nights in La Bisbal by Gerona. Should she drive there from Barcelona or take the train to Flaca?
Are taxis easy to find at the Flaca station (even on a Sunday)?
Thanks!

At 5-21 euros (one way) for Barcelona-Girona, a rented car cannot begin to compete with RENFE for cost. But the issue will be what about local transportation needs once there? Little? or a lot?

I don't think that Spain is a difficult place to drive (haven't been there in ten years, but going next week - - ask me again in early June when I return).

Best wishes,

Rex

Thanks Rex. I'll touch base in July.
She just wants to get there the easiest way possible and won't need the car much after that. She'll be leaving from her hotel in Barcelona and then will need to return to the Barcelona airport. It looks like a train connection will take her right to the airport.
Anyone know the taxi situation from the train station in Flaca to neighboring hotels?
