Should our group spend time to visit the Millienium Dome in London? Has anyone been there?

I am going to London for four days with my sister and parents. My parents are in their 60s. Should we spend time to visit the Millenium Dome in London? What is it?

With four days in London, I don't think the Millenium Dome would be on my list of things to do. First, it's expensive (like $40-ish); there are mixed reviews (some reviewers think it's fantastic; others think it's tacky); finally, London has so much to offer (museums, historic sites, river cruises, guided walks, etc.) that it seems a shame to spend time in something less "English" than London (if this is your 5th trip to London, and you're looking for something different, then, yes, do the Dome; if this is your first or second trip, there are other things you should probably see).

Well, I loved it!
£20 is expensive, but it's pretty special, and it's only there for a year. You'll find that nearly all the negative press coverage has disappeared since it opened!
If you go, don't miss the central show.

i just returned from a visit to london last week and we visited the millenium dome and thoroughly enjoyed it. it is definitely an all day affair. with so much else to see in london if this is your first visit, i would recommend skipping the dome and taking in all the other sights.

Disssenting opinion. Was at the Dome about 11 days ago, and and except for the show thought it a total waste of time. The various sections were mostly small TV or reading plackard type displays. Maybe I expected too much but thought overall it was pretty amaturish. Can provide more details if desired.
