1970: A Pound a night for a hotel room in Earl's Court, shared bath, toilet paper like waxed paper, those huge pennies, etc., etc.

For GBP 6.00, I'm guessing the lunch includes a sandwich from 1977 also!

...are the buses run by the "On the Buses" gang?

Back in the 70's the Great British Heritage Pass (called "Open to View" back then) cost $13 for 30 days.

One more, in 1976 a London Red Bus Pass was 10.50 GBP a month-----travel anywhere, on any bus, changing as often as you like and going as far as you like. An annual pass was 110 GBP.

I've been walking on eggshells here all morning making sure I don't get caught by an April Fool's. How clever of jsmith to post hers 10 months early.
