Should I stay on Rue du Ponceau in the Montorgueil?

I am thiiis close to booking an apt. there but am wondering about the locale. The other option is going $$$ and staying at the Hotel de Sers. Suggestions?

Ilove Rue Montorgueil. Some of Rue St Denis is rather seedy. Other than that, the rest of the area is good.

I know the area hosts some working girls but the area looks rather interesting/bohemian. Looks like a lot of good restaurants around there too.

Hello Triski,

I am wondering how was your experience there at this apt and the area around it. Is it safe to walk at night? how about your comment about the area being seedy? I am interested to rent this out but is a bit hesitant.

Thanks,
Mel
