Should I go through Positano to get to Capri?
I will traveling from Rome to Capri. So I planned on taking a train from Rome to Naples, then a ferry from Naples to Capri. But someone told me to go to Positano, and then to take the ferry from there to Capri. Does this make sense? I question it because I will only have 2 days in Capri and I don't want to do extra traveling that I don't need to do. I heard Positano is beautiful, and maybe the trip there is worth going through. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
You are right to go directly to Capri. Take the boat to Positano if you want to see the Amalfi Coast. When are you going. The ferrys don't go in rough weather. |
thanks ira for your response. I will be in Capri August 8-10. So you think I should take the ferry from Naples? Ira- do you mean to possibly take a boat from Capri to Positano if I feel like seeing the Amalfi coast? Thank you for your help.

No, don't go to Capri through Positano, it is quite a detour. Instead, safe Positano for your next visit. It is a beautiful place but I imagine you would be busy at Capri because you only have 2 days there.
