Should I be concerned? Have not received confirmation from accommodation in Cinque Terre?

We leave in one week for Italy. We booked all our accommodations in April and received email confirmations in April. A few weeks ago I emailed all of the accommodations to re-confirm and all but one responded with a confirmation. We still have not heard from Tonino Basso in Vernazza, Cinque Terre. I emailed him again on Tuesday and still have not received a response. I checked my spam folder and still nothing.
Should I be concerned? I don't want to be an annoyance and call him but I also cannot risk not having a place to stay when we get there being that it is "high season". I do have his confirmation email from April, is that enough security?
Thank you - little stressed trying to get everything together! -April

Hi C,

> I don't want to be an annoyance and call him ...<

You are not an inconvenience. You are a customer.

Definitely call.

Definitely call. Email is not 100% reliable. They may never have gotten your email, or their response may have disappeared into cyberspace.

Yes, definately continue to call.

If you can't get any response try to contact another local hotel that may be familiar with Tonino Basso and ask them for any information they may have.

I would call. I had the same experience faxing and emailing a hotel in Barcelona. No reply. Ended up calling to make sure everything was in order.

You will love the cinque Terre area, and the people are very laid-back, may be why you have not heard anything, they truly don't sweat the small stuff, sometimes might be even annoying, so by all means, call and confirm, hope he speaks English or you, Italian - and don't miss the meals at Gambero Rosso - so good and such great little cities - enjoy

Thank you all for your responses. I sucked it up and called - truthfully, I was nervous about calling Italy, whether he would speak English, whether the call would go through, etc. I finally just did it and he speaks wonderful English and could not have been nicer - he confirmed our reservation and seemed completely laid back about the whole thing - how silly of me!
Thank you for giving me the courage! I worried for nothing (as usual!)
