Short Trip Help: Bologna - Ravenna - Rimini - San Marino
My wife and I are traveling to Italy next month for a family wedding. The wedding is around Cortona and a full slate of events is planned in that area. In addition, we have previously spent time in Rome, Florence and Pisa.
We are flying into and out of Bologna and basically have one day/night free on each end of the trip. My current plan is, upon arrival in Bologna at around 11am, to pick up our rental car and head to Ravenna for lunch and to spend a little time seeing the town, mosaics, etc. Later in the afternoon, we'll drive to Rimini for dinner and to spend the night (free hotel room at Le Meridien Rimini). In the morning, we're planning to drive to San Marino to sightsee and have lunch. From there, we'll head to Cortona to arrive in time for a family dinner.
On our return, we'll be leaving Cortona early in the morning to head to Bologna (the rest of the wedding party will be heading to Rome to catch an early flight). Our plan is to drop the rental car at the airport, check into the hotel (another free stay... Sheraton at the airport) and take either the hotel shuttle or a taxi into Bologna for lunch, sightseeing and dinner. We leave the next day on an early morning flight.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, especially restaurants, any must see sights, detours along the way, etc. Thanks in advance!

Looking at the map, Rimini Miramare train station is within walking distance of the airport (about 6 blocks or so). There are a few trains you can take from Miramare to Ravenna that don't require a change, but most require you to change at Rimini Centrale.
The airport website says take bus #9 to Rimini Centrale. Scroll down to where the departure is aeroporto. You would want to get off at Rimini FS.
I don't think there are any other stations in Ravenna except the main one. It's a few blocks walk from Ravenna's station to the pedestrian area of Ravenna if that is where you are staying. It's possible you could be on the far side of the pedestrian area though and you might want to take a bus or taxi with luggage.
