Short term London flat

My family and I are getting ready to move to London this summer. I am trying to nail down good options for short term housing. We are approved for 30 days temporary housing as we search for our more permanent London home (I hope 30 days is enough time to find something!). I have found a few short term serviced apartments in my internet search, but was wondering if any here have any recommendations. We are particularly interested in Marylebone, St. Johns Wood, Bayswater, Notting Hill and Maida Vale. Thanks!

I haven't stayed here personally, but these apartments look nice on their website. It's the So Quartier flats, in the Maida Vale neighborhood. You can find them on the Citybase Apartments website. Good luck!

We did the same thing a few years ago, moved to London and stayed in two different temporary studios/apartments before finding jobs and a flat. Good luck with it all.

One tip for finding a permanent flat, if you see something you like, don't hesitate or someone else will snap it up. It's the quick and the dead.

Here are some ideas:

http://www.astons-apartments.com/

We stayed in an apartment rented from Deep Blue, near Paddington Station and it was fine though very small, quite a good area for transport links and cheap restaurants.

Also stayed in an apartment that is on Coach House Apartments (chs link above) we really liked it, close to the bus but a bit more of a walk to the tube, it's the one bedroom at Elm Park Gardens for 130 pounds per night. It was quite spacious. You can locate the address on Google Maps.

Another thought is

They have a property right near Trafalgar Square which is a very central location.

Thanks for the many great suggestions. I'm looking at all these ideas. And Kay thanks for the thought on finding our permanent London flat. No budget was given here, because the firm has not given us a budget. I'm sure once we present some options, they'll be more than happy to tell us their opinion on the topic. Two months and three days left!
