I realize this post is old but I stumbled upon it and DH and I are debating what this means:

What does the poster mean about the level of Spanish being not so good. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Any thoughts?

Salamanca is known for their pure Spanish. From two different weblinks:

andalucia is the energy of spain.. they have an amazing sense of humor!any joke told with an andalucian accent is three times as funny.

You could post an ad on campusanuncios.com or loquo.com for each city and see what sort of response you get.

Passport thing: I believe it is possible to stay for the 3 months, then get a flight to morocco (cheap ryanair) and come back, to renew your travel visa for another 3 months.
I have heard of this but I am not sure.

No, you can't fly to Morocco to renew your travel visa. You can only stay 90 days out of 180 day timeframe.
