Short notice for input needed for Munich, Vienna, Prague and Berlin

We are leaving this Sunday and would love your input for "must sees and do's" as well as restaurants for the following cities:

Munich. -- Dec 22-26
Vienna. -- Dec 26-29
Prague. -- Dec29-jan2
Berlin -- jan2- jan 6

Ideas for what we should do, where we should dine and what we should experience on Christmas and New Years would be great too!

Thanks for any input

Adrienne,

Asking for input is not always a declaration of someone having "no idea" of what they plan to do. I am rather "amazed" somebody would not know that about people forming travel plans.

People cast their net wide and all the time on message boards, and to friends and colleagues, for aded input about places they've only read about but never been. The request made here was a polite and open invitation. Again, I am amazed by your behavior.

Trommom,

If your screen name indicates you will be traveling with children be aware that a great many restaurants and cafes in Vienna permit smoking in large areas of their restaurants, and while many offer non-smoking sections, the separation between the areas can still allow a lot of smoke to circulate. If that would be an issue for you, even if you are traveling without children, reviews on TripAdvisor or Yelp often give fairly accurate reports if a place is particularly smoky, even if they can't be trusted as to whether the food is any good.

You might get more information that is particularly useful for you if you described your travel group and their travel interests. Obviously some of the things already being tossed at you (with rudeness!) are not things many people would want to do.

sandralist - I'm always amazed about your behavior. You constantly trash other posters without giving any input asked by the OP.

Several weeks ago you stated that you were leaving this board if a thread about gypsies was not removed. The thread was not removed and you are still here. Why?

I see that you are triple counting several of your days. The actual days on the ground are:

Munich: 23, 24, 25 (3 days) but many things will be closed for the holiday - check now
Vienna: 27, 28 (2)
Prague: 30. 31, 1 (3 days) but many things will be closed for the holiday - do check now
Berlin: 3,4,5 (3 days_

The other days are spent in travel. For instance you are counting the 26th three time - for sightseeing in Munich, for sightseeing in Vienna and also for getting from one place to another.

Suggest you look at some of the major guidebooks (Michelin green is very good for sights, not just details of what there is to say but also how long it wil take) and then lay this trip out day by day (not including travel days)

Thanks everyone. I didn't mean to cause any discord! I have done some research. I just was checking to see if anyone had any good input for something we might not necessarily know about that we shouldn't miss while we visit over the holidays. Restaurants in particular.
Yes, I have children, but the youngest is now 26! She will be traveling with us --- any suggestions for what we should do in Prague for New Years Eve or any special place for dinner on Christmas Eve?
