Shops in Paris that carry discontinued/ hard-to-find perfumes?
My hubby's mom loves her YSL Opium. Apparently the formula changed maybe a year or so ago, and she doesn't like it as much. Are there any perfume shops in Paris that specialize in discontinued or hard-to-find fragrances?
One week to go! yippee!
Thanks!

I haven't ever heard of one, but I used to work in the cosmetic business for a major company and handled a perfume line -- and buying old perfume is not usually a good idea. It doesn't age well like wine or anything, and it can age very badly depending on the conditions where it was stored, which one doesn't know, that's the problem. If it is only a year old or so, it should be okay, though, but even then could be bad if it were subjected to high heat (some gray market perfume has not been stored well). I wouldn't count on anything older than a couple years to be good, but real perfume should be better than eau de toilette or something with more alcohol.
If that's what she wants, it would probably be easier just go on ebay or something where you can query the owner as to the age, or those websites that are devoted to selling discontinued perfumes.
