Shopping with a Teen

My 13 year old daughter and I are going to spend 3 days in Paris. I remember reading somewhere about shopping in funky shops where the Parisian teenagers shop. Any ideas how I might find such a thing?

Thanks!!!

You might want to repost with the word "Paris" in the subject to get more answers.

Shops that are frequented a lot by teenagers are:

Jennyfer
Mango
Zara
H&M
Pimkie
Bershka
Kookaï

These shops are to be found all over Paris. Most have shops in the Forum des Halles mall near Centre Pompidou (www.forumdeshalles.com), in the Les Quattre Temps mall in La Defense (www.les4temps.com), or on the Rue de Rivoli.

I'd second what Tommie says but vote heavily for Rue de Rivoli, much more of a boulevard crawl, going from store to store. There is also a Monoprix in amidst the shops listed that is worth a stop.

There are also always packs of teens in the "mall" under the Louvre, so maybe a good place to start and head east from there on Rivoli.

Great ideas. Thanks! The Paris posting is a good idea too. I'll try it.

My daughter is into vintage clothes. She liked visiting some vintage shops around Centre Pompidou. She also liked visiting Tati, which is sort of a discount department store for clothes. And she also liked some stuff she got at the Porte d' Montreuil flea market.
