Shopping - Prices in Malmo, Sweden compared to Copenhagen, Demark.

Hello.

I will be in both Copenhagen and Malmo next month. I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea on costs regarding clothes, home goods in both Copenhagen and Malmo. Is one less expensive than the other overall regarding prices?

Thanks in advance.

The choice will be better in Copenhagen, at least for home goods. The big department stores are Illums Bolighus and Magasin which have great choice of home goods. There are also couple of Ilva stores in Copenhagen although not centrally located (I usually go to the one in Lyngby). No idea about clothes and how they compare in prices between the 2 countries, suspect it is similar.

Some things in Malmo (restaurants etc) tend to be somewhat less, since it is a much smaller city. But nothing in Scandinavia is inexpensive and IMHO linens etc are very expensive versus US costs everyplace I have been in a store in europe.. I would suggest you look at the websites of local stores to get an idea of prices.
