Spend it all up, but spend it smart!

True contentment is having a spouse who
values what you do.

Sweat the small stuff so you can really enjoy the big stuff.

Bottomline: do what makes you happy as long as you can afford it.

I'd add one more precept to those degas has outlined above:

Spend on yourself, if you wish to. But if you can afford to spend on yourself, you can afford to spend on others less fortunate.

Which we plan to do: This is the year to renew our financial commitment to a wonderful series of library projects in W. Africa, piloted by a great Canadian, Kathy Knowles -- two of those libraries now bear my family's name....
