SHOPPING IN SIENNA

Does anyone know if there are open shops in Sienna on Sundays.
We will be there in Oct. for 1 day only.
Thanks,

We were in Sienna on a Sunday two years ago and were greatly disappointed that most shops were closed. Restaurants and gelaterias were open but very, very few shops. But heck, maybe things have changed in the last two years ... ??

No shops in Siena (note spelling to make searching easier) are closed on Sundays except for a few touristy places. The museums are open though. SOrry to not have better news.

and just in case you wanted a suggestion of a place for fabulous ceramics, not to be missed, I suggest Arcaico /via di Citta 79 (0577/281144). they had a lot of unique pieces compared to some of the other stores. there are also a couple of great ceramic stores across from it. I bought a fabulous platter that i schlepped home in my carry on bag ... it was worth it! it's my favorite piece in my apartment!
