Hi m_kingdom2,
You don't go to Prague to buy designer clothes. You go there to buys crystal, and not Swarovski crystal(that is Austria). But the famous Czechoslovakian Bohemian crystal that is very good quality. |
I hate crystal, it's old fashioned (in the worse sense of the word) and the finest chandeliers (antique ones) tend to be Austrian crystal - besides, even my large suitcases will not hold a chandelier.
Crystal drinking glasses might appeal to me, but I like simpler styles, cut crystal should be smashed. Vile! Clothes appeal to me much more, I have plenty of drinking glasses - they must all match, odd glasses just isn't on. As for naff little crystal ornaments they can join the smashed pile of crystal on the floor. I think I will try and have a look at the local designers, I can give my lowdown on their collections for you all to read. |
MK2 my recollection of shopping in Prague was that designer wear was much more expensive there than here in London. It struck me as strange given the very low cost of living in the Czech Republic.
There are some nice plain crystal pieces to be had but this is far out weighed by the amount of totally over the top cut and coloured crystal that I wouldn't thank you for if you gave it to me. |
I suspected that that might be the case - a little like mustard costing more than caviar in Moscow.
