Shopping in Paris

I have a 15 year old daughter who loves fashion and she wants to know where are some great chic places to shop in Paris that arent that expensive.

thanks

Zara, Pimky, H&M, Tati...but if you're American you're going to be killed by the exchange rate. You can get the same stuff here for half (or more) the price.

Tres chic, but very expensive, but go have a look-see anyway--Colette.

Hi,
I was in Paris last October with my 15 year old daughter and we shopped for clothes for her mainly at Les Halles and Champs Elysees. We came across all the great shops like Naf Naf, promod, zara etc. We personally preferred Champs for shopping but there was plenty to see at Les Halles which probably had more of the "lower priced" stores. We found lots of things on sale and she bought lots of very chic but not expensive clothes

There are good "young fashion" departments at the big department stores, Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, on Boulevard Haussman. Lots of different brands under one roof.

In addition to the shops others have mentioned, look out for Kookai, Morgan, Sinequanone and Etam.

In terms of affordability, Tati is probably at the bottom of the heap - very cheap and cheerful but the stores aren't always conveniently located (however there is a branch of Tati in the Italie 2 shopping centre at Place d'Italie - might be a good option if it's raining as there is quite a variety of clothes/shoe shops in the shopping centre).
Other areas with a concentration of stores are the Rue de Rennes, Rue de Rivoli (between the Louvre and Hotel de Ville), area around Boulevard Haussmann (best for department stores), Les 4 Temps shopping centre at La Défense (another rainy day option), Les Halles (lots of stores but still my least favourite place to shop in Paris), and probably a few more areas that I'm forgetting.
