Shopping for Millefiore Beads

I'm going to be in Rome for 6 weeks this summer. Both my mother and sister want me to buy them millefiore bead necklaces. Any suggestions as to where I might best make a purchase? And, wouldn't it be easier to buy them online? Thanks in advance for your advice.

There's a store on Corso Rinascimento (near Piazza Navona) called Murano Piu', which might have millefiore bead necklaces.

There's a long thread about glass beads in Rome:

I recently received a gift - a millefiore pendant - bought in Rome at a store they said was near the Pantheon. I'll try to find the name, as I would expect it had bead necklaces as well....

Any chance you will be in Venice during your 6 weeks in Rome? We watched them make the millefiore beads at a glass making factory on Murano, right there on the main street. They of course sold it right there in the shop.

Thanks, folks, for your suggestions. I checked the previous thread, and now I'm worried that all I'll find in Rome are unthreaded beads. I'm only interested in the completed pieces of jewelry!

Here's the Web site for Murano piu':

It says it has glass jewellery, but the images are all of vases and things like that.

Anyway, why not get creative, if necessary? I'm sure they will sell you beads, string and a clasp. I've strung semi-precious stones myself, because buying the stones loose cost a heck of a lot less than buying them strung. (Admittedly, I never mastered the art of putting knots between each stone, but that's what little gold beads are for...)
