Shopping at CDG Airport

We'll have a 4-hr. layover at CDC and decided to stay and do some shopping and Euro exchange/withadrawal. Please let me know stores that are there (2 interests would be Longchamp and chocolates). Also, will there be a BNP _____atm there? BA said that if I withdraw from BNP in France, there will be no withdrawal charge. Thanks.

There is a Longchamps, maybe more than one. I'm sure you can find chocolate.

There are ATMs but I'm not sure if they are BNP. My credit union charged $1.00 for a withdrawal so it wasn't a big deal for me. You might find more information if you do a search for CDG airport. There are ususally lists of boutiques and restaurants and there may be something about ATMs too.

I don't think you could go very far in a four-hour layover so may as well shop. And eat!

I wasn't too impressed with the shopping. It was a lot of 800 euro ties.

cheryl8 Feb 26th, 2006 08:04 AM

Hi, kelliebillie. What's an 800 Euro ties?

Travelnut Feb 26th, 2006 08:38 AM

I think she means ties that cost 800€

ekscrunchy Feb 26th, 2006 09:32 AM

I would seriously doubt that any tie sold at CDG costs anything close to 800 Euro. Please! I remember a supermarket there that might be fun.

cigalechanta Feb 26th, 2006 09:36 AM

chery, if you looked at the url, I gave you, you'd see all the shops, be it chocolates, food, clothes listed and where located.

ekscrunchy Feb 26th, 2006 09:36 AM

I just checked; there are three Casino supermarkets at the airport but not in the transit area. And goood perfume/alcohol shopping.

kelliebellie Feb 26th, 2006 10:11 AM

Yes, I meant it costs 800 euros. I'm not sure where the cute little euro symbol is located on my keyboard.

Okay, maybe there isn't really a tie that costs that much. I'm a comedic overexaggerator.

ekscrunchy Feb 26th, 2006 10:26 AM

Well I am sure it is a striking tie! And then you can hang yourself with it when the cc card bill comes in the mail! Really, who knows these days; if shoes can be 600 Euro, maybe a tie can be 800 after all!

Thanks for that link. It will help me for where to meet someone.

I would not call the aeroport Casinos "supermarkets"...just places to buy a few things and sandwiches. They are owned by Casino.

I just read an article about the Singaport airport having, among other things, tiny rooms travelers can rent by the hour with shower, etc. Does this exist at CDG in transit area?
