Shoes to wear in Spain

Ok some of you will probably think this is a ridiculous post, but hopefully the women out there will understand :). I am going to Spain in a few weeks and have had the hardest time finding some comfortable shoes that also look good with skirts! (actually the only comfortable shoes I've found so far are tennis shoes) I know people in Spain dress a little nicer - and feel like if I wear tennis shoes (even "euro" cute ones) I will stick out like a sore thumb....what do people wear there with dresses/skirts and still be comfortable?

Have you looked at Mephisto? My wife wears them, as do I, and they are stylish as well as comfortable walking shoes. They are also tend to be on the expensive side if you can't find any on sale. Nordstrom's and Walking Company often carry them.

They wear spiked heels..remember you as a tourist will be walking much more than locals do..Do what I did when I went to Spain...buy a pair of good walking shoes..they even have nice looking dress up ones now..I bought mine at the Ecco shoe shop.

Merrell makes a cute Mary Jane with a rugged sole. Mine are black suede with pink accents.I think they'll look good with capris, gauchos or skirts.
