Shockheaded Peter

I am just back from London and I have to tell you about the show we saw. It was a hoot! We laughed so hard we could not breath. I have a hard time describing it, so below is the link. I would call it a dark comedy - with musical accompaniment. If you are interested in seeing something that you are not likely to in the States - check out Shockeheaded Peter at Piccadilly Theater.
http://www.shockheadedpeter.com/

Has anyone else seen it?

I saw the play 2 years ago in Plymonth, and something similar in Lyon last year.

Saw Shockheaded Peter in San Francisco last year and loved it -- it was like being inside an Edward Gorey cartoon with animation by Tim Burton (whose "Edward Scissorhands" was inspired by the SHP book, I think). The Tiger Lillies were brilliant on the musical numbers.

I saw it in NYC last year - Young Vic did it. Fabulous and grotesque!

IS this based on the german children's book ? Is it too dark for young teens ? Thanks. We are still looking for a show for a group with varied ages. Was it at the 1/2 price booth or did you book ahead ? Thanks
I know this is a 4 yr. old thread, but I just saw this in NYC last wkd. I think Neva tagged it accurately. have NO idea if its going to be revived in London any time.
