Postage to Italy is exorbitant! Cheaper to pay for an extra checked bag, if you really need to bring your own toiletries.

Thanks for the replies. Due to allergies, I need specific products, but I'll just transfer to smaller bottles.

Even more reason to pack them! Especially if you need certain products 'due to allergies' please take them with you, don't depend on shipping to get them there.

just take fewer clothes and use the saving you made to pay for laundry.

Good idea to transfer the bottles to smaller containers, but have you tried googling for hypo allergenic products (ipoallergenico) in Italy? Many brands are international, and there are many chain stores & pharmacies in Italy that sell allergy-free toiletries, products, cosmetics.

I can't even imagine someone ever thought of NOT transferring toiletries to smaller bottles for travel, why would something take 8-16 oz bottles of things?

IN fact, I did see one woman at the airport who did that, I thought she was nuts. She was trying to rearrange her packed bag or something, and I saw she had fullsize bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc. And this was a relatively small suitcase so she wasn't traveling for that long.

If you are of average intelligence, half the world is less intelligent than you are. And, of course, people who post here are above average, so do the math.
